[Kannaduki no Miko, Summoning] 12.24.2004

You know, I have to say, this show didn't turn out to be half bad. Which is an odd expression... I liked it, even though it was the robots and girl-love combo targeted at a male audience. But the character designs were lovely, and the ending was fitting.

So, this is my last wall for 2004 (sounds all dramatic)! Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year everyone! ^^  Come back for more in January ;)

[Waltzing in a Winter Wonderland] 12.18.2004

Yup, I decided on Princess Tutu for my holiday wallpaper this year. The whole Nutcracker Suite comes to mind when I think Christmas anyway, and this show just fits that to a T. Although, since it's more of a non-denominational winter theme, it can be used all year round  when you're in a Princess Tutu kind of mood XD

Random stuff, if my site goes down towards the end of the month, fear not! It shall be back as soon as it's January. I'm just switching registrars and I think I've finally pressed the bandwidth limit... o.O

[Bonds of Friendship, Elfen Lied] 12.11.2004

Elfen Lied is still one of my favorite new shows, and I've been harboring this idea for a "vector" wallpaper with Mayu and Nana for a while now. I'd say it's the darker side of Elfen Lied, but seeing as how Elfen Lied was 90% dark... Oh, and the man in the door is "choose your own adventure." ;D

Rumor has it, it's the holiday season. I made a Christmas wallpaper last year, but I haven't made a new one yet... So, here's last year's! Ideally, there'll be another one available before Christmas ^^ But in case you can't wait, check out Banime for a new adorable holiday wall!

[Bakuretsu Tenshi, Double the fun!] 12.04.2004

It's Bakuretsu Tenshi week at Ningen.tk! Yes, it's an odd thing to celebrate. But I figure, after this week it's unlikely I'll ever add anything to that section again :D I just really kept watching it, hoping it would get better, that there would be some twinge of plot to accompany to cool character designs and catchy music. Yeah... so... Two new walls! The first one features Jo and Meg looking rather battle weary. It goes with that urban decay theme that was so prevalent in the show. I did the graffiti in the style of the tattoo symbols in the logos. Not too much to say about the beach scene, since it's a scan to desktop crop, but I'm sure Amy and Sei fans will be pleased ^^

Oh, and I also added a new Bakuretsu Tenshi PSD, to complete the week ;D

[Fullmetal Alchemist - Cry 'Havoc'!] 11.23.2004

Sometimes, it's all about the scan. This image came from the 2005 Fullmetal Alchemist calendar, and it was without doubt my favorite image in there. I could've put it on a black background and been done with it, it's just that cool :D But I opted to "extend" the background by re-creating how I felt it should look.

Thanks a bunch to w00tazn for the last minute tips on this wall! And check out the newly re-opened PixelHeaven---w00t's site---which features a variety of wallpapers featuring everything from anime to J-POP stars!

This'll be my update for the week, as the holiday weekend is looking to keep me occupied ^^; So for those of you celebrating, have a happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with your family!

[Girls Bravo! - Steaming up the kiddy pool] 11.19.2004

Girls Bravo is a funny show in that, it's so full of fanservice, they forgot to give it a story line. Well, so long as there's a reason for the girls to wear bathing suits (or less) it works ;D Due to the angle of the scan, I decided to do a kiddy pool in the backyard kind of theme! I know I was mocking it earlier, but I turned out to really like this wallpaper, cause it's so happy and colorful ^^

Also, I made a new PSD from a scan I uploaded to PZ. It's from  the adorable show School Rumble! Tenma-chan

In website news, this week has given us a revival of AniStudios and Pixelated Graffiti! So definitely take a moment to re-discover---or discover---these two lovely sites, you won't be disappointed ^^

[Cowboy Bebop - The Untouchables] 11.13.2004

I promise, next week, I'll have something bright, happy, and colorful! But for now, I really wanted to use this black n' white sketch from the Cowboy Bebop - The Wind Illustrations collection. I love the costumes they're all wearing, it's so fitting. Yes, so next week, Girls Boob-ravo.

[Evangelion - The calm before the storm...] 11.07.2004

I think I've officially entered flashback mode. Another oldie but goody wallpaper from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I was going for the oncoming storm look, so like, it gets dark as the scene spans.

At the moment, I'm trying to find a new series to love. Oh, but suprisingly, I'm really into Gundam Seed: Destiny without ever having watched Gundam Seed. Weird, ain't it? Eh, looks like I'll be revisiting that one.

More new stuff next week, I'm thinking Girls Bravo or Cowboy Bebop. Fear the indecision ;D

And while there's no new PSD for me this week, there's a ton of new scans over at Random!

[Run, Wolf Warrior] 10.31.2004

It's like a blast from the past. The last time I made a Wolf's Rain wallpaper, it was.... July 2003! So a couple of months ago, I purchased the Wolf's Rain artbook, and found myself a bit disappointed that there weren't a lot of color pictures, and even more so, it was primarily concept designs. Not to knock concept designs, but they're not exactly wallpaper material. Anyhow, getting to the point here.... I colored this image from one of the black and whites in the book. Anyhow, enjoy, and look forward to more new stuff next weekend ^^

Meep pwnz all?

[Tsunade and Hokage---A Dream of Hokage!] 10.24.2004

Tsunade and Naruto :D Simple wallpaper for me this time, but it's really fitting for the series. I just wanted it to have a cartoon-like style, hence all the outlines.  It reminds me of the stuff I used to do, but like, nowadays I can make images so much cleaner *-*

And another new PSD! This time it's Miu from DearS

[Maya Natsume "Fan" service!] 10.16.2004

Another new all today, and there should be another one next weekend as well. I decided to do a wallpaper from Tenjo Tenge because, while I do like the manga better, I really do like the anime designs as well. And you gotta admit, Maya is wearing like, the best outfit, short of a bathing suit! ;D I incorporated the images in the fans from another scan, but just so you know, it's Nagi and Mitsuomi ^^

And there's a new PSD available from the new series, Kannaduki no Miko! I haven't seen it walled yet, so get on it! ;D

[Fullmetal Alchemist Hawkeye Wallpaper] 10.11.2004

Ah, with the end of the Fullmetal Alchemist TV show, I definitely felt I needed to add another wallpaper to that section---it's too good a show to be ignored ^^ So, for this one I wanted it to be like, going for a night out on the town kind of look, since they're all dressed up (I actually changed Hughes' clothing. And Roy in the back even looks like he's checking Hawkeye out! ;D

Also, there's a new PSD available from Aishiteruze Baby

[Elfen Lied "Fufillment" Wallpaper] 10.07.2004

I just had to make an Elfen Lied wallpaper. It's been a while since I've started watching a show based on shock value alone that I actually got into. I based the wall on the art in the opening sequence. However, since there aren't actually any scans available for it, or anything close, I did an image trace from screenshots. I like it, even though, if you haven't seen the show, I bet it looks really odd. o.O

Liking the frequent updates I bet ;D

[Motoko GITS:SAC Collaboration] 10.04.2004

We laughed, we cried---well actually, Redxxii did all the crying. Either way, there's a new wallpaper in the Ghost in the Shell section ^^ And be sure to drop by Mercurial Designs too, while you're at it---all new layout along with several new wallpapers!

And the other fun thing that's happened: KeV of Rave!Anime has offered to host the anime PSDs that I extract! Now I can update more often, since it won't be such a bandwidth killer ^^ Thanks KeV! Check out the current selection from Fullmetal Alchemist, Chrno Crusade and Scrapped Princess!

[Samurai Champloo and Fire too!] 9.28.2004

You know, strangely enough, my new Samurai Champloo wall actually matches my layout. Pure coincidence. ;D I went for a very painted look on this one, and of course, the sunflower theme from the show ^^ I've also added a very useful tutorial---making flames for a wallpaper without the use of filters! Believe me, the end result is just what you've been looking for!

[Midori no Hibi and New Affiliates!] 9.23.2004

I've added a new  wallpaper from the strange, but adorable series Midori no Hibi! I painted the background, and though it's simple that's mainly because I spent a lot of time constructing the image---see what a mean when you download the wallpaper!

Also, over the past few months, I've added three new affiliates! First off is the very awesome, Abstract Anime, which has been up and running for nearly 5 years! Mercurial Design is another addition, Redxxii blends grunge and anime to make some very unique walls ^^ And finally, my newest affiliate is Rave!Anime, home of several prolific wallpaper artists, who also keep up to date with many of the newest anime series!

[What?! An update?!] 9.18.2004

Welcome to the newest version of Ningen's Anime Wallpapers! If you've been here before, the biggest change I made is I made about... 95% of  my wallpapers available in 1280x960. I've organized my wallpaper list a bit better (and it even looks longer ^_~), made the thumbnails for wallpaper previews larger and re-vamped my links. Sure they're little things, but it all works together to make your site visiting experience a bit more complete! Please help me work out the kinks too---if you find a link that doesn't work, or that opens in the wrong window, let me know!

As far as additions go, I've made a few new wallpapers in the past few weeks, but I'm not going to release them all at once. So for today, I've added my Melody of Oblivion wallpaper with a less obtrusive but more colorful background than I've been doing lately.

July 16th, 2004

Hello again! ^_^ Brand new wallpaper from the series, Samurai Girl: Real Bout High School! I enjoy the art, mainly because it's Keiji Gotoh, and the colors are just lovely. I decided to go for a "practicing Kendo in the jungle theme." So, if you're a fan, check it out!

And if you're a Gotoh fan, I've scanned the entire Keiji Gotoh Kinetic Girls Artbook and it's now available to download via Bittorrent from http://www.animeartbooks.tk! Check it out if you're interested.

June 30th, 2004

Moving again! I'll be back in America in two days in fact. I went on a shameful DVD buying frenzy, but that's another story. They're probably all going to get seized in customs anyway, I have that kind of luck ^^;

So enough about me, on to the wall! I'd seen this image on APA ages ago of Motoko and Batou and always kinda knew I wanted to do something with it. Mainly because I was a big fan of the Ghost in the Shell movie =3 Not so much the show though... Sinful, ain't it?

And finally, Mixed Media has retired for the moment, and so Andrea from Peorth Anime Wallpapers has graciously accepted my invitation to be my new affiliate! Although I'm sure all of you already know about it, give her beautiful site a visit and check out her new walls!

May 29th, 2004

Today's wall is of an image I've been meaning to wall for ages. While I wasn't the biggest fan of FF:U, I did have a a favorite character that made it slightly all worth while, and that was Shiroi Kumo =D I just like his design... So, I made a fantasy-scape background to suit it and go with the "Over the Fantasy" theme ^-^ Much thanks to excessive complaining and general pickiness by the peanut gallery, without whom, I would have given you a much crappier version =P

May 16th, 2004

Rawr, new month, new walls. I scrapped my FMA wall! I looked at it too long and decided, it was just to dark a theme and there's so many prettier pictures... So, if you saved it, you've now got a rare piece o' crap by yours truly ^^;

Second on the list, a scanned background from the Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Visual collection. She's doing her seductive bit and looking all of her probably 12 years of age >_< Look forward to seeing more scanned desktops from this collection throughout the month!

April 28th, 2004

Just barely made it! I figured I'd do one more before I left on another little trip exploring China for this next week. Today's new wall is from Maria-sama ga Miteru. It's a rather over-looked series, and I'm not completely sure who the target audience is (it's definitely not me ^^;) But the art is fantastic! Everyone just looks so elegant... like they should =]

April 10, 2004

Hehe, it's been long enough, but I've finally made a new wall. This time, it's from the new series This Ugly and Beautiful World. From the first episode, it looks like it's gonna have a few twists in the story, so that might make it interesting. Featuring the main couple, Hikari and Takeru riding off into the sunset =3 And if you've seen the first episode, or heck, even the preview, then you'll know what that light in the sky is ;D

April 03, 2004

A new scan resource for the walling community.\

March 26th, 2004

Ho ho ho! I'm on super lazy mode, but with reason. Maybe I'll tell ya tomorrow :D But for now, new wallpaper from Full Metal Alchemist! I'm really loving this series, and it looks like it's gonna be longer than 26 episodes...

March 13th, 2004

My internet has been dead since last Tuesday. Which, in some strange, sick way, has allocated me the time to sit down at the computer and make a Chobits wallpaper featuring both Chii and Freya! Oh I  can see you glowing with excitement ;D Anyhow, I figured I'd revisit a few old favorites, seeing as how not too much of the new stuff has actually kept my interest. Oh, but I have found a new love in Full Metal Alchemist... :3

March 5th, 2004

Well, with the end to the Gunslinger Girl TV series (and was that really the end?) I've decided to make another GSG wallpaper, this time, featuring Henrietta and Rico. I went for a realistic look for the anime look, trying to make it look like a scene that was captured right outta the series.

And I thought it'd be fitting to announce with the arrival of my second GSG wallpaper my new affiliate, Banime.com! Since, after all, I collaborated with Bantam on the first one ^^ So if you liked that  I suggest you go visit his site, as it has an extensive collection of very stylish walls from way more series than I could ever name!

February 27th, 2004

For the sake of having more than one update before the end of this month, I've scanned a nice neat desktop for Yami to Boshi to Hon to Tabibito. Work and all that picked up recently, so I haven't had as much time for the site stuff ;P Hoping to recover in March.

I'd also like to note that right now, the wind is so strong it's scaring me ;_;

February 11th, 2004

New month, new series, two new walls. Today, it's Mezzo D.S.A. with the ever adorable Asami-chan and Mikura! I'm seriously in love with this series, mainly cause it makes no sense and action packed. Too bad it's only 13 episodes. And there's one more for good measure with Raquel and Pacifica from Scrapped Princess. It's just a cleaned up scan from the art book I purchased recently, but it makes for a lovely desktop ^-^

Other random series I've been watching, Daphne in the Brilliant Blue! I've never seen more fanservice in my life. And I suppose it's kinda funny. I have a morbid curiosity to see cosplayers from this series...

Also, I've added a link to Hibiki Designs! Check it out!

January 30th, 2004

Ho ho ho! I did it. I made a wallpaper. That brings me to a grand total of two this month ^-^ So it's Read or Die TV, which, if you haven't already checked it out, you really need to. It's an awesome series. And it's Anita in grunge, cause she's my favorite character.

I updated the scan---Keiji Gotoh

January 28, 2004

Not dead, just touring the countryside. Probably won't be any new wallpapers for a while, but I'll keep the scans coming ^^

But there is a new tutorial! It shows you how to make the pond ripples like I did in my old Wolf's Rain wallpaper with Cheza. And these ripples are pretty versatile too, they make nice planet rings as well ^_~

January 12, 2004

Actually, it suddenly occurred to me that I can actually edit HTML on notepad... Oh how quickly the past is forgotten! So quick news, new affiliate, Desktop Zero! Do give him a visit, since there's literally hundreds of wallpapers to look through. In other random news, Deviant Art is getting rid of its anime wallpaper section, so for those of you who haven't check out my really really old stuff that's not even on this site anymore, visit before it's all gone at the end of the week!

Side note, I'm on vacation until the 24th or so, so if I'm slow to reply that's why! That rhymed.

January 6, 2004

Happy New Year! I've been experiencing major slow-down these past few weeks with the holiday season and all that, but things are getting back to normal. Today's addition: Final Fantasy Unlimited! The new wall features Lisa looking a little forlorn, but generally busting out all over ^_~ Don't think about it too much.

Same old PSD though, I'm workin' on it ^^;
