Here's where I answer all those questions that keep you awake at night!
Q: Can I use your wallpapers on my website?
A: Yes, all you have to do is make sure you have a click-able link back to my site and that you DO NOT remove the signature at the bottom of the wallpaper---that gives other people a chance to find my website. If you are only interested in the original character art and not the background finishing art that I do, then I advise you to go get the original unedited image from a scan gallery website. If you acknowledge that you want the wallpaper version I created, then you need to link back.
Q: Can I use your wallpapers to make a web graphic/winamp skin/wallpaper?
A: No, every single original character scan I used can be found online. Use the original artist's image in the way provided, just like I did. Please see sites like Animepaper, Minitokyo, and countless other websites with scans to download. If your "graphic" needs the background and finishing effects I created to look good, then you're definitely doing something wrong.
Q: Do you take requests?
A: I take suggestions. Like, if there's a series you're interested in seeing walled, and coincidentally I like it too, then there's a really good chance I'll do it. But for the most part, I do wallpapers from the shows I'm watching or interested in.
Q: Where do you get your images from?
A: I scan them myself, from Newtype, Animedia, Megami, Dengeki Animaga, and Animage magazines. I also collect art books, so I have quite a few scans from those sources too. There are also a couple of galleries in the links section that I use as well ^_^
Q: Will you scan _____ for me?
The short answer to this is no. I have scanned literally thousands of images at high resolutions you'll find in galleries like Project Zen, Minitokyo and Anime Paper, all at my expense--both in time and money. However, if it's an image from a recent wallpaper (like in the past month or two) I'm more than willing to send you the original scan.
Q: How do you remove the text from images?
A: It's honestly just the time consuming process of recoloring and re-lining every inch of the image that is covered in text. I use the pen tool, but you can use the polygon lasso just as easily, select an area, and color it in. There's no trick, other than making sure you start with a high quality, large resolution scan. Patience pays off!
Q: Can you teach me how to make a wallpaper?
A: Not unless you live next-door to me ^^; It's not really something you can teach anyway, because you just learn it by experimenting with different functions on the art programs. But I do have some tutorials to help you on your way!
If you've got a question I didn't answer here, just e-mail me!
